Deceiving

After a wonderful marriage of many years

When I was proud that we made it

Was ready to focus on my new endeavor

Working for general peace and happiness

Throughout the world!

My beloved wife told me -

She had been deceiving me!

She told me –

‘You love me more than a human can realize,

Your love has no condition attached,

You enjoy loving me and caring for me,

But despite all I don’t feel attracted any more’!

I told her –

‘By deceiving someone one only deceives oneself!

I love you just as I love each breath

I miss you the way why planets revolve without rest

I can’t even accept a small scratch in your face

I can’t think someone hurting your rather childish self’!

So, baby, deceive me, tell me all lies,

But never leave me alone suffering separation!

Which will hurt my soul more than all deception!
