Day of Thinking

(Dedicated to a conscious world that recognizes the fragile nature of the Planet Earth – Deepak Sarkar, www.kolki.com)

[Let us extend the ‘Earth Hour’ on last Saturday in March to a ‘Day of Thinking’? Ancient people lived thousands of years co-existing! Let’s rethink! Kolki]

Wouldn’t it be nice if we had a Day only to think!

No work, play, party, news, golf, or (Internet) surfing!

No chatting, gossiping, socializing, camping, or formal dining!

Everything is closed and everybody at home just vegetating!

No electricity, gas, gasoline, newspaper or mail delivery!

No garbage pick up, lawn mowing, cleaning or pruning!

No mining, oil drilling, logging, hunting, boating or fishing!

No cooking; Just left over, nutty salad, fruits and dairy!

No car, bus or train running; no ships sailing; no airplanes flying!

No speed boating, motor-cycling, fitness or aerobic training!

No television, video game, barbeque or block gathering!

Civilization stops for a day except emergency caring!

Just to be quiet and enjoy the world around -

Leisurely sitting, walking, gardening, meditating! Listening to the ground!

Letting the brain unwind in quietness void of human made sounds!

To review, re-visit, in mind; happenings around year-round!

Watching and feeling Earth rotate around the Sun!

Some will worry about job and economy!

But nothing will happen except world breaths happily!

If God in Bible needed rest after seven (7) Days of creativity -

Mother Earth needs a day at least once a year for healing -

To recover from ongoing day to day civilized hostilities!
