Thanks To
Hon. Prime Minster Chre΄tien For Leading Canada and The World Above Terror! (Deepak Sarkar, 11/22/2002, www.kolki.com )
As non-democratically installed US
president George Bush spreading the message of terror and fear throughout the
world, Canadians are proud to have a leader who is trying to lead the world
above terror and fear of Super Power military threat, global warming, polluted
water, global homelessness and hopelessness!
Canada and The World
need leaders with vision and passion who can speak for the common good of mankind beyond
country, race and ethnicity. We need
leaders who can help make the 21st century a period of peace and
coexistence. It is very unfortunate that President Bush is
using his super power only to promote terror, war, more polluted air, less
clean water and more global warming.
Congratulations to Hon. Prime Minister
Jean Chretien for standing tall and speaking for the people of Canada
and the world as a statesman with passion for a good environment, peace and justice throughout
the world.
While name calling is not appropriate in
diplomacy it was surprising that the current Canadian opposition leaders
remained silent when President Bush referred Hon. Jean Chretien as ‘Dyno’ –
dinosaurs’. They also kept their mouth
shut when President Bush forgot to thank Canada
for its role of sheltering so many diverted planes and their passengers immediately after 9/11. Most
Canadian opposition leaders also didn’t respond to US Ambassador’s
audacity of promoting US Arms Sale to Canada.
It is unfortunate that Canadian media
like ‘National Post’ is becoming anti-Canadian showing more allegiance to the
current American administration than the Canadian Government. Each time Canada wants
to be just in its foreign policy regarding Iraq or
Palestine National Post headlines become anti-Chretien propaganda ignoring the
real news of the day inside Canada
and around the world.
History will decide whether President
Bush is a ‘Moron’ or ‘a 21st Century Hitler’! Its time journalists and politicians rise
above the petty thoughts and serve their people and country with honesty,
fairness and courage!
