Bush-Sharon Road To Peace Is Just Full Of Palestinian Blood and Destruction (Deepak Sarkar, October 5, 2004,  www.kolki.com )

President Bush and Prime Minister Sharon once again proved that they view the world population as uneducated, uninformed and insensitive to the sufferings of the Palestinian people since 1948. They want Arafat to be tough on security while destroying his minimal infrastructure, police and jail system, time and again, by the Israeli military forces. If they were honest and sincere about peace and coexistence, they would have given Arafat more aids and equipment to fight the, so called, terrorism or vengeance against imprudent Israeli attacks.

This kind of double standard foreign policy actions and 18th Century brutal politics make peace loving people around the world frustrated and angry on US and Israeli government and their policy.

Most people in this world know that the Prime Minister of Israel, Ariel Sharon, was being tried by the world court in Belgium for war crimes against Palestinian Refugee camps. The crime includes a 1953 attack on Bureij refugee camp in Gaza, the mass demolition of refugee shelters in Gaza in the early 1970s, and the 1982 massacre of Palestinian refugees in Sabra and Shatila refugee camps in Beirut in which several thousand refugees were killed.

It was an Israeli extremist who killed Prime minister Ishak Rabin in front of its strong military equipped with American F14, F15, F16 fighter planes, Nuclear weapons, biological weapons and all other weapons of mass destruction imaginable. They couldn’t stop the Israeli terrorist! They cannot stop killings of innocent Palestinian women and children in the occupied territory using their military and intelligence might! How they expect Arafat to stop terrorist acts done in Israel as revenge against Israeli attacks using his little authority, demolished prison, destroyed office buildings and infrastructure?

The fact is, Sharon and his right wing politicians simply wants destruction of Palestinian people while trying to fool the entire world with speech about terrorist and terrorism. They don’t want peace. Peace is a threat to their power and justification of military and financial aid from US taxpayers. That’s why they assassinated their own beloved, peace loving prime minister Rabin just when peace was being secured with the help of the great UN and world leaders.

If President Bush could read like President Clinton and wasn’t surrounded by minority US politicians who are dual Israeli citizens he would have stopped the military/covert actions by the Israeli government against the Palestinian people and could say, ‘Mr. Sharon, tear down the Palestinian wall’!

Arafat and Palestinian people want to see a day free from Israeli check post and harassment, in only 22% of their legitimate land. But the Bush-Sharon road to peace, so far, is just full of Palestinian blood and destruction.
